Any goal oriented system’s productivity is limited by at least one constraint Truth #3 – Theory of Constraints Explained. Eliyahu Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints (TOC) states that: the rate of goal achievement in a goal oriented system is limited by at least one constraint. Example of constraint in B2B case:
The delivery teams are having a tough time upgrading our on premise customer base. The are spending 60% of their time installing and configuring the software solution making it logistically impossible to upgrade the entire customer base in a year without blowing the budget. Example of constraint in B2C case:
1000 customers are downloading our App from Play Store a day! But only 2% of them are using the App more than a day, and only 0.2% of users purchase the App after the trial period ends.
